Lightnite, a Game Built on the Bitcoin Blockchain, Launches
2 min read · · Korean original

Hello, this is Bitpunk. Today I'd like to talk about Lightnite, a game built on the Bitcoin blockchain. Lightnite was developed by Sathoshi Games. It uses Bitcoin's Lightning Network, which lets users pay Bitcoin into the game and also earn Bitcoin.
Earn Bitcoin While Playing

As they play Lightnite, users can earn Bitcoin by dealing damage to their opponents. On the other hand, if they take damage, they lose Bitcoin. When a player dies, others can pick up the loot, and if you keep surviving, you can sell it at the shop. If no one picks up the items a player drops, they eventually disappear.
Lightnite and Bitcoin
The Lightnite team hopes the game will help make Bitcoin more popular for small transactions. If you enjoy games and you're good at them, you might be able to earn Bitcoin while playing. Of course, you could also taste total defeat: losing the game and handing over your Bitcoin too.

A Paid Game, Not a Free One
The game has already been developed, and early users are being recruited for $20. Once you complete your purchase, you'll receive a key by email. If you'd like to buy the game and try it out, please check here. The beta version is scheduled to launch in Q2 2020.
