Hello, this is Bitpunk. In this post, we'll take a closer look at the Kaia Portal website launched by the Kaia Foundation.

A simple DeFi deposit mission is currently running, where you can provide liquidity to each DEX project and receive Kaia ($KAIA) coins as a reward.

What is Kaia Portal?

Kaia Portal is the official platform for DeFi activities on the Kaia mainnet. You can access the official website through the link below.

After visiting the website and connecting a personal wallet such as MetaMask, you can start DeFi missions right on the portal.

How to Join the Kaia Mission Epoch 1

Kaia Portal is currently running the ‘Epoch 1’ mission. In this mission, you provide liquidity to designated DEXs, farm points, and receive $KAIA tokens as a reward. Here's how to take part in the airdrop mission.

1) Connect your wallet and enter an invite code

First, visit Kaia Portal and connect your MetaMask wallet. You'll need an invite code at this step. If you enter d3141f84, you'll receive 10% bonus points.

2) Provide liquidity on DragonSwap

Next, you need to choose one of the supported DEXs and provide liquidity. I joined the USDT-USDC pool on DragonSwap, which has the deepest liquidity. Since it's a stablecoin pool, the point farming rewards are a bit lower, but I chose it because the risk is lower.

For reference, to use Tether USDT on DragonSwap, you need to transfer your assets from the Ethereum network using the Wormhole bridge. The supported bridges differ by DEX and by coin, so be sure to double-check the contract before you proceed.

3. Farm points and receive KAIA rewards

Once you've provided liquidity to a DEX, points start accumulating automatically. These points are converted into KAIA rewards after the campaign ends.

When the first epoch ends, KAIA rewards are distributed in proportion to your points, paid out in installments over up to 6 months. For reference, some KAIA rewards from the D2I program can be received immediately.

Wrapping Up

That covers Kaia Portal, launched by the Kaia Foundation. If you already hold Kaia or have idle assets on this chain, you can provide liquidity to DeFi and earn additional $KAIA.

However, providing liquidity in DeFi can lead to impermanent loss as well as losses from asset price fluctuations, so be sure to DYOR before participating and stay mindful of the related risks.
