How do you stake in Launchpool?

Once you're on the Launchpool page, you just register for the pool you want to join and stake the corresponding asset, and you're done. So how does it work?

For example, the OIK Launchpool that ran previously opened three pools: an OIK pool, a Mantle pool, and a USDT pool. You simply stake as much of the asset as you like in the pool you want to join.

Below is an example of Launchpool staking with Mantle coin. First, go to the Mantle pool, enter the amount you want to stake, agree to the terms, and click 'Confirm' to finish.

Bybit VIP users get a higher staking limit than regular users. For example, regular users can stake 5,000 MNT, while VIPs can stake 10,000 MNT or more.

Which pool should you join?

So which Launchpool should you join? Most people use the stable USDT or MNT, Bybit's exchange coin. USDT is well known as a stablecoin with minimal price fluctuation.

Mantle coin (MNT), on the other hand, is a highly volatile altcoin. If you have a solid understanding of futures trading, you can open a short hedge to minimize volatility. However, this isn't easy for beginners, so it's fine to think of it as just trying out the USDT pool.

What is the Launchpool snapshot and reward schedule?

Bybit Launchpool takes random staking snapshots every hour. Then, based on the snapshots recorded over the day, it calculates your average staked amount. Using this, Launchpool rewards are distributed according to the ratio of your staked amount relative to the total rewards.

So when are Launchpool rewards paid out? Bybit Launchpool rewards are distributed every day at 12:00 AM (UTC), which is 9:00 AM Korea time. Depending on the situation, there may be a delay of 1-2 hours. Note that rewards are only paid if the earnings are $0.01 or more.

What should you check if you can't join Launchpool?

What if you try to stake in a Launchpool product but it doesn't work? In over 90% of cases, it's most likely because your assets are somewhere other than your 'Funding Account'. Just move your assets to the 'Funding Account' as shown below, then try staking again.

Stablecoins such as USDT or USDC may be earning yield in 'Earn'. So check exactly where your assets are on the account balance page, complete the redemption, and then move them to your Funding Account.

How much can you earn with Bybit Launchpool?

When I took part in a Launchpool last time and kept a record, depositing about KRW 10 million in assets earned around KRW 10,000 per day. There's no guaranteed rate of return for Launchpool, but statistically this is roughly the minimum return.

Annualized, if you put KRW 10 million into Launchpool and earn KRW 10,000 a day, that's a 36% annual return. In bull markets when Bitcoin and Ethereum rise a bit, it can even reach over 100%. So if you hold Mantle and USDT, it's a great product for maximizing your returns.

Bybit Launchpool often offers higher yields than typical earning products. So you might also consider a strategy of borrowing USDT or MNT through Bybit's lending products to participate in Launchpool. In that case, however, you need to be especially careful about collateral liquidation due to price swings and about risk management.
